Who am I? I'm based in Metro Manila in the Philippine Islands. I spent my college years on a Computer Science - IT degree but decided that photography was for me.

I try keep my heart rate up and my body lean with soccer and badminton. I wind down and find peace at nature - the beach, mountains, rainforests and so on. That said, I love traveling and I don't mind getting down and dirty.

I'll love coffee, drink beer and scotch, and will eat pretty much anything. I love all sorts of music, but I hate country and anything too extreme. I love to sleep but get spells of insomnia watching TV/DVDs or surfing the web.

So here I am giving photography a big try for a living taking photos of my favorite stuff: people, places and food!

I got my first DSLR in 2006 and it's been a hell of a ride, constantly balancing my 'artist' and 'geek' sides to take photos I love. I keep a P&S cam with me at most times and I've got a manual film camera too which I love loading with grainy B&W and expired films.

I read a lot and am curious about a lot of things. I love trying stuff, see rules more as "guidelines", I'm interested in pretty much all kinds of photography, and am fascinated with lighting.

Right now, I've got photography partners and we work together (and have fun doing so) under RFontanilla Photography. It's a great bunch of people, so do yourself a favor and check out their website.

Some photographers I absolutely love and respect: Chase Jarvis, Joe McNally, David duChemin, Zack Arias, David Hobby, Mitchell Kanashkevich, Steve McCurry, Gavin Gough, Mark Dimo and Timothy Allen.

They've got awesome stuff, constantly pushing themselves and upping the standards in photography. I love their blogs and follow them on twitter, it's as close as I can get to hanging out with and learning from them, and getting to know what makes them tick.

Go ahead and click on their links, you're in for a real treat :D
